The Way We Were

The Way We Loved

The return of the documentary about Ireland’s social and cultural history over the past 100 years, beginning with a look at the issue of love, including courtship and dating rituals, habits and taboos. The programme charts a course from the puritanical 1940s and ’50s to the tentative sexual revolution of the 1960s and ’70s right through to the divorce referendum, the decriminalisation of homosexuality and the forging of a more sexually tolerant and Inclusive Ireland.
