Man Utd Lionesses help England reach Euro 2022 final

Reds goalkeeper Mary Earps kept her fourth clean sheet of the home tournament, producing notable stops to deny efforts from Stina Blackstenius either side of half-time, as Sarina Wiegman’s side advanced to Sunday’s Wembley showpiece.

Arsenal’s Beth Mead and Barcelona’s Lucy Bronze had established a two-goal lead for the Lionesses before the introduction of United’s Alessia Russo on 57 minutes. Russo then made yet another impact off the bench in the competition, netting the game’s third goal – and her fourth of the Euros – via a smart backheel.

Fran Kirby, of Chelsea, rounded off the scoring late on before she was replaced by our own Ella Toone, with our no.7 helping her nation to see out the contest against the tournament’s highest-ranked side.
