ETX Capital Sign-up Bonus

ETX Capital does not offerwelcome bonus to traders who choose to register for a real account. While ETX Capital used to offer bonuses in the past, the broker has withdrawn these promotions due to regulatory restrictions on bonuses by its regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority.

As a general explanation, a bonus can be best understood as a way of compensating traders for having decided to open an account with a chosen broker.

Once an account has been opened with a Forex broker, clients will have access to trading of currency pairs, and will therefore have to incur some expense for this trading. The bonus is just a way for the broker to reward the trader’s choice and give all or some of these expenses back to the trader.

Leverage

Leverage is a facility that enables you to get a much larger exposure to the market you are trading than the amount you deposited to open the trade. Leveraged products, such as forex trading, magnify your potential profit – but also increase your potential loss.

Leverage amount is expressed as a ratio, for instance 50:1, 100:1, or 500:1. Assuming that you have $1,000 in your trading account and you trade ticket sizes of 500,000 USD/JPY, your leverage will equate 500:1.

Margin is the amount of collateral to cover any credit risks that may arise during your trading operations. It is expressed as the percentage of position size (e.g. 5% or 1%), and you have to have funds in your trading account to ensure sufficient margin.

For example, on a 1% margin a position of $1,000,000 will require a deposit of $10,000. The margin level in a trading account needs to be equal or more than 100% to be able to open new trades, otherwise your trading account will be fully hedged.

ETX CAPITAL offers a maximum leverage ratio of 1:200. The maximum leverage is dependent on the asset traded, the total position size and the classification of the trader.

Market instruments

The most popular market instruments available from most brokers for trading include:

The spread of a currency pair is the difference between the bid and the ask rate. A pip represents the smallest increment that an exchange rate can move.

Margin is the amount of money required in your account in order to open a position. Margin is calculated based on the current price of the base currency against USD, the size (volume) of the position and the leverage applied to your trading account.

ETX CAPITAL earns most of its revenues from spreads on currency pairs and commissions charged on CFDs. Spreads on currency pairs start as low as 0.6 pips with an average spread of 0.81 pips on the EUR/USD. CFD commissions for share trading are as low as 0.1%.

Swap rates on overnight positions apply and ETX CAPITAL charges the inter-bank market rate plus 1.35% annualized.

An account inactivity fee of £25 or equivalent applies to accounts that showed no trading activity for six months.

In the case of ETX CAPITAL Bank Transfer, Visa Debit/Credit Card, MasterCard Debit/Credit Card, Skrill, Neteller, Sofort, GiroPay and China Union Pay can be used to fund accounts.

ETX CAPITAL doesn’t charge for deposits, but withdrawals below £100 or currency equivalent are charged £10. Deposits and withdrawals need to be done from an account matching the ETX CAPITAL account holder’s name.
